PEODUCT DESCRIPTION

1. The end of the connecting rod is designed as a single continuous round hole instead of a split type.
2. The needle roller bearing is a thin-walled "bearing sleeve" that is directly installed in this hole.
3. The connecting rod journal of the crankshaft passes through this bearing.
In this structure, a problem arises: How can we prevent the needle roller bearings from moving axially left and right within the large head hole of the connecting rod?
The large end retaining ring was designed to address this issue. Its function is:
· Limiting freedom: On each side of the large end hole of the connecting rod, a slot is machined. Then, a large end retaining ring (usually an elastic retaining ring or a snap ring) is inserted into each slot respectively.
· Creating a closed space: These two retaining rings form a narrow and sealed axial space on both sides of the bearing.
· Precise fixation: The needle roller bearing is precisely and firmly "clamped" in the middle, preventing any axial movement during operation.
